Never Fail Fudge - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. sugar
    1/4 c. cocoa
    1/4 c. corn syrup
    1 c. milk
    3 Tbsp. oleo
    1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Mix sugar, cocoa, syrup and milk.
    Stir until all sugar is dissolved.
    As mixture begins to boil, wipe inside of pan with wet cloth to remove any sugar.
    Let boil hard until it reaches a soft ball stage.
    Add oleo, but do not stir.
    Allow to cool.
    Add vanilla; beat until stiff.
    Pour onto greased platter.
    Allow to cool before cutting.
    Always let it cool before beating it.
