Miracle Fruit Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients

spice cake mix
baking soda
sherry, rum or brandy (optional)
pitted dates
seedless raisins
ready-to-use candied fruits and peels
egg white
maraschino cherries and/or nut meats

Preparation

Make up spice cake mix according to package directions, adding 1/2 teaspoon baking soda.
If desired, up to 1 tablespoon sherry, rum or brandy may be added.
