Sorghum Syrup Sugar Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3/4 c. shortening
    1 c. sugar
    1/4 c. sorghum syrup
    1 egg
    2 tsp. baking soda
    2 c. all-purpose flour
    1/4 tsp. cloves
    1/2 tsp. ginger
    1/2 tsp. cinnamon
    1/2 tsp. salt
Preparation
    Combine sugar, shortening, sorghum syrup and eggs and mix well.
    Add all other ingredients and mix real good.
    Chill in refrigerator for 1 hour.
    Make into balls the size of a walnut and roll in sugar.
    Bake at 325\u00b0
    for 7 minutes.
    Be sure and grease cookie sheets well (real well).
