Apple Cinnamon Yams - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 medium yams, pared
    2 large apples, cored and sliced
    3/4 c. orange juice
    1/4 c. brown sugar
    1 Tbsp. lemon juice
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. cinnamon
    1 Tbsp. butter
    1/2 c. chopped pecans
Preparation
    Grease a 1 1/2-quart casserole. Thinly slice yams and layer alternately with apples.
    Mix orange juice, brown sugar, lemon juice, salt and cinnamon.
    Pour over apples and yams.
    Cover and microwave on High 15 minutes, basting several times during cooking.
    Dot top of yams with butter and sprinkle with pecans. Microwave uncovered 2 minutes.
    Let stand 5 minutes before serving.
