Ingredients

1 c. butter or oleo
1 c. sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
3 c. sifted flour
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/4 tsp. salt
Preparation

Cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
Add eggs, one at a time, beating after each addition.
Blend in vanilla.
Add sifted dry ingredients to creamed mixture, blending well.
Roll dough 1/4-inch thick on floured surface.
Cut and put 2-inches apart on greased cookie sheet.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 10 to 12 minutes.
