Shoo-Fly Pie - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 c boiling water
1 c. molasses
1 large egg
1 1/2 tsp. baking soda
1 1/2 c. flour
1/4 c. shortening
3 Tbsp. sugar
3 Tbsp. brown sugar
1 pie shell (unbaked)
Preparation

Preheat oven to 350\u00b0.
Combine baking soda, boiling water, molasses and flour.
Add beaten egg.
Let stand for 15 minutes. Make crumb mixture with shortening and sugars.
Put half of crumb mixture in unbaked pie shell.
Pour in liquid mixture.
Top with rest of crumb mixture.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 50 to 55 minutes.
