Banana Pudding - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 bananas
    1 box vanilla wafers
    2 eggs
    touch of cream of tartar
    sugar
    2 1/2 c. milk
Preparation
    Put layer of vanilla wafer crumbs in casserole dish. Top with a layer of bananas. Continue until close to top of dish. In one bowl, beat 2 egg whites until stiff and a pinch of cream of tartar.
    Don't stop beating while mixing in cream of tartar.
    Add 1/4 cup sugar while beating.
    In second pot, mix 2 egg yolks, 3/4 cup sugar and milk. Cook to a slow
    boil.
    Pour over mixture in bowl.
    Pour egg whites and sugar over this.
    Bake until lightly brown.
