Short'Nin Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. all-purpose flour
    1 Tbsp. baking powder
    4 Tbsp. sugar
    3/4 tsp. salt
    1/2 c. vegetable shortening
    1 egg
    1/2 c milk
Preparation
    Preheat
    oven
    to
    450\u00b0.
    Combine dry ingredients using pastry blender
    or
    two knives.
    Cut shortening into dry mix. Looks like
    coarse meal.
    In another bowl beat egg with milk. Pour
    into flour mix and stir until well mixed.
    Drop 1/3 cup of
    dough into mounds on greased baking sheet.
    Bake 12 to 15 minutes or until golden brown.
    Yields 6 to 8 cakes.
