Funnel Cakes - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/3 c. flour
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. soda
    2 Tbsp. sugar
    3/4 Tbsp. baking powder
    1 beaten egg
    2/3 c. milk or more if too thick
Preparation
    Sift together flour, salt, soda, sugar and baking powder.
    Mix separately the egg and milk.
    Mix liquid and dry ingredients together and beat until smooth.
    Heat 1 inch deep cooking oil to 375\u00b0.
    Fill a small funnel with batter, holding finger over bottom.
    Remove finger and let batter drop in a spiral motion into hot oil.
    Fry until golden brown, turning once.
    Drain on paper towel.
    Sprinkle with powdered sugar and serve hot.
