Fruit Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 1/2 c. sugar (1 c. white, 1/2 c. brown)
1 c. butter (1/2 c. butter, 1/2 c. margarine)
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. cloves
1 tsp. allspice
3 c. flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1 1/2 tsp. soda
2 eggs
1 c. raisins
1 c. chopped nuts
1 c. chopped dates
1 c. candied red cherries
1/2 lb. candied pineapple, cut up
1/2 lb. mixed candied fruit
2 c. applesauce
Preparation

Cream butter; add sugar and spices.
Cream until light.
Sift flour, salt and soda together.
Dredge fruit and nuts with 1/2 cup flour.
Beat eggs and add alternately with remaining flour until well blended.
Stir in dredged fruit, nuts and applesauce.
Pour into tube pan and bake at 300\u00b0 for 2 to 2 1/2 hours.
Turn out, cool and wrap.
