Ingredients

1 c. margarine or butter, softened
3/4 c. granulated sugar
3/4 c. packed brown sugar
1 egg
2 1/4 c. all-purpose flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. chopped nuts
1 (12 oz.) pkg. semi-sweet chocolate chips
Preparation

Heat oven to 375\u00b0.
Mix margarine, sugar and eggs.
Stir in flour, baking soda and salt (dough will be stiff).
Stir in nuts and chocolate chips.
Drop dough by rounded teaspoonfuls, about 2-inches apart, onto ungreased cookie sheet.
Bake until light brown, 8 to 10 minutes.
Centers will be soft.
Cool slightly and remove from cookie sheet.
Yields about 6 dozen cookies.
