Banana Nut Bread - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2/3 c. shortening
2 1/2 c. flour
1 2/3 c. sugar
1 1/4 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking soda
1 1/4 c. mashed bananas
2/3 c. buttermilk
2 eggs
2/3 c. walnuts, chopped
Preparation

Stir shortening to soften.
Mix in dry ingredients.
Add bananas and 1/2 of buttermilk.
Mix until all flour is dampened. Beat 2 minutes.
Add rest of buttermilk and eggs.
Beat 2 minutes. Fold in walnuts.
Use 2 (9-inch) pans.
Bake 35 minutes at 350\u00b0.
