Island Style Chicken - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 can pineapple chunks in syrup
    2 lb. chicken parts
    1 can chicken broth
    1/4 c. vinegar
    2 Tbsp. brown sugar
    2 tsp. soy sauce
    1 medium green pepper, chopped
    1 large clove garlic, minced
    1/4 c. water
    3 Tbsp. cornstarch
Preparation
    Drain pineapple chunks, reserving syrup.
    In skillet, brown chicken in a little shortening; pour off fat.
    Add reserved pineapple syrup, broth, vinegar, sugar, soy sauce and garlic. Cover and cook over low heat 40 minutes.
    Add pepper and pineapple chunks.
    Cook an additional 5 minutes or until done, stir occasionally.
    Combine cornstarch and water and stir into sauce. Heat until slightly thickened.
    Serve with cooked rice.
