Baked Cheese Sandwiches - cooking recipe

12 slices white bread, crust removed
6 slices American cheese
2 slices ham, cut into pieces
4 beaten eggs
2 1/2 c. milk
1/2 tsp. dry mustard
1 Tbsp. chopped onion (optional)
1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
Preparation

Make sandwiches and place in a 9 x 13-inch baking dish. Combine eggs, milk, dry mustard, onion (optional) and Worcestershire sauce. Pour mixture over sandwiches. Let stand for at least an hour or overnight in refrigerator. Bake at 350\u00b0 for 40 minutes. Cut and serve with mushroom sauce made with 1 can mushroom soup diluted with 1/2 cup milk.
