Grandma'S White Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 Tbsp. lard
    1 1/2 c. boiling water
    2 Tbsp. salt
    1/2 c. sugar
    1 c. cold water
    2 pkg. yeast
    1/2 c. lukewarm water
    12 c. flour
Preparation
    Pour boiling water over lard, sugar and salt.
    Use large bowl. Stir until dissolved.
    Add 1 cup cold water and let mixture cool to lukewarm.
    Dissolve yeast in 1/2 cup lukewarm water.
    Add to other liquid.
    Add flour.
    Mix well.
    Let rise to double bulk; knock down and let rise again.
    Knock down and knead well.
    Put in greased and floured bread pans and let rise again.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 20 minutes.
    To keep crust soft, coat with butter while still warm from oven.
