Peanut Butter Roll Candy - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 1/2 c. white sugar
1/2 c. corn syrup
1/2 c. water
2 egg whites, beaten stiff
Preparation

Cook sugar, syrup and water to a hard ball (265\u00b0 on candy thermometer) or until small amount forms a hard ball in cold water. Pour syrup over stiffly beaten egg whites slowly, while beating at high speed with an electric mixer.
Beat until thick and creamy and stiff enough to hold shape.
Sift thick coat of powdered sugar on wax paper and pat or roll out candy while it is still hot to about 1/4-inch thick.
Spread with peanut butter and roll up like jelly roll.
Wrap in wax paper and refrigerate 1 hour and slice.
