Grits Pilaf - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. hominy grits
    1 garlic clove, lightly crushed (or minced garlic)
    1/8 tsp. pepper
    2 c. chicken broth (I use 14 1/2 oz. can)
    2 sliced green onions
    1 Tbsp. butter or margarine
Preparation
    Stir grits, garlic and pepper into boiling chicken broth. Cook, stirring occasionally, over medium heat until thick, 3 to 4 minutes.
    Discard garlic clove (if used).
    Stir in green onions and butter.
    Cover and let stand 5 minutes.
