Ingredients

Bermuda onion
1 c. sifted flour
2 tsp. salt
1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1 egg yolk
2/3 Tbsp. oil
1 egg white
2/3 c. milk
Preparation

Slice onion and place in cold water and cover for 30 minutes. Sift flour, salt and baking powder into medium bowl.
Set aside. Beat egg yolk slightly in bowl.
Stir in milk and oil.
Add to flour mixture, stirring until smooth.
Beat egg white until soft peaks form.
Fold into batter.
Dip onion slices into batter and fry.
