Red Macaroni - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 lb. ground beef
    1 or 2 medium onions, chopped
    1/2 green pepper, chopped
    1 (15 oz.) can tomato sauce
    1 (16 oz.) can tomatoes, crushed and drained
    dash of garlic powder
    pinch of sugar
    salt and pepper to taste
    1/2 c. water or tomato juice
    8 oz. elbow macaroni
    grated cheese (optional)
Preparation
    Brown beef, onion and pepper in a large, heavy pan.
    Drain off all fat.
    Add tomato sauce, tomatoes, water or juice, garlic powder, sugar, salt and pepper; stir well.
    Simmer for 30 minutes, stirring occasionally.
