Turnip Gratinee - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 garlic clove, peeled
    1 Tbsp. butter
    1 1/2 lb. turnips, peeled and cut in 1/8-inch slices
    1 tsp. dried herbs
    1/3 c. grated Gruyere cheese
    1/3 c. grated Parmesan cheese
    1/2 c. heavy cream
    1/4 c. fresh bread crumbs
    3 Tbsp. butter
    salt and pepper
Preparation
    Preheat oven to 400\u00b0.
    Rub a small gratin dish with garlic clove, then butter it well.
    Parboil the turnips for 2 to 3 minutes and drain.
    Arrange 1/3 of the turnip slices in a layer in the dish. Sprinkle them with salt and pepper and half the herbs. Mix the 2 cheeses and sprinkle the turnips with 1/3 of the mixture. Repeat layers, finishing with the cheese on top.
    Pour cream over the dish.
    Sprinkle with bread crumbs and dot with butter.
    Bake for 45 minutes.
