Ingredients

1/2 c. shortening
1 c. sugar
1 well beaten egg
1 Tbsp. lemon juice
1 Tbsp. lemon rind
2 c. flour
1/8 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking powder
1 c. pecans
Preparation

Cream shortening with sugar.
Add egg, lemon juice and lemon rind.
Beat well.
Sift flour, salt and baking powder together. Mix with sugar and shortening mixture.
Stir in pecans and refrigerate overnight.
