Sugared Nuts - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. sugar
    1 lb. shelled English walnuts
    6 Tbsp. milk
    1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Combine sugar and milk in saucepan over medium heat; stir constantly until mixture is thick, like caramel.
    Be careful; this will burn very easily.
    Remove from heat.
    Add vanilla, then nuts. Stir until all nuts are coated well.
    Mixture will become \"grainy\" like dried sugar.
    Turn out on cookie sheet or pizza pan to dry.
    Make sure completely dry.
    Store in a dry place in jars or airtight containers.
    Keeps 3 to 4 months.
    Do not freeze or refrigerate.
    Great for Christmas.
