Cream Of Broccoli Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 (10 oz.) pkg. frozen chopped broccoli
    1 c. water
    1/2 c. sliced celery
    1 small onion, sliced
    2 Tbsp. butter or margarine
    2 Tbsp. flour
    1 1/2 qt. chicken stock
    2 egg yolks, beaten
    1/2 c. half and half or milk
    1/2 tsp. salt
    pinch of pepper
    paprika
Preparation
    Cook broccoli in water for 3 to 5 minutes; reserve liquid. Saute celery and onion in butter.
    Stir in flour.
    Gradually add stock and liquid from broccoli, stirring constantly, until thickened.
    Add broccoli.
    Put through a food mill or puree in an electric blender, if desired.
    Stir egg yolks into half and half. Gradually add to soup, being careful not to boil.
    Season with salt and pepper.
    Garnish each serving with a sprinkle of paprika. Makes 6 servings.
