Lemon Meringue Pie - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 1/2 c. sugar
1/3 c. cornstarch
1/4 tsp. salt
4 eggs, separated
2 Tbsp. butter
1 (6 oz.) can frozen lemonade, thawed
1 baked pie shell (9-inch)
1/4 tsp. cream of tartar
Preparation

Combine 1 cup sugar, cornstarch and salt in saucepan.
Mix well. Stir in 1 1/2 cups water gradually.
Mix in slightly beaten egg yolks, butter and lemonade. Bring to a boil over low heat, stirring constantly. Cook to lukewarm. Spread in pie shell. Beat egg whites with cream of tartar until soft peaks form. Add remaining 1/2 cup sugar, one tablespoon at a time, until stiff peaks form. Pour over filling. Seal to edge. Bake at 325\u00b0 for 20 to 25 minutes or until lightly brown.
