Fried Green Tomatoes - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 or 5 green tomatoes
    1/8 tsp. pepper
    1/4 c. butter
    1/2 c. cornmeal
    1 tsp. salt
Preparation
    Cut out stem end of tomatoes and slice 1/2-inch thick.
    Mix salt, pepper and cornmeal in a dish.
    Coat both sides of tomatoes with mixture.
    Heat the butter in a skillet.
    Add tomatoes and brown on both sides.
    Cook until tender.
