Happy Day Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 1/2 c. sifted cake flour
1 1/2 c. sugar
3 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
1/2 c. shortening (room temperature)
1 c. milk
2 eggs, unbeaten
1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation

Place sifted flour in sifter.
Add sugar, baking powder and salt.
Stir shortening in bowl to soften.
Sift in dry ingredients.
Add 3/4 cup milk.
Beat 2 minutes at medium speed of mixer.
Add eggs, vanilla and rest of milk.
Beat 1 minute more.
