Onion Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 Tbsp. butter
    4 c. thinly sliced onion
    1 1/2 Tbsp. flour
    4 c. chicken broth (i.e. bouillon cubes)
    2 c. dry wine
    1 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. white pepper
    grated Swiss cheese
Preparation
    Melt butter in saucepan; saute the onions over low heat until brown. Blend in flour; add broth, wine, salt and pepper, mixing steadily to the boiling point. Cover loosely. Decrease heat. Cook for 25 minutes. Serve with Swiss cheese and French bread or croutons.
