Country Apple Muffins - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 1/2 c. quick or multi-grain oatmeal
1 c. whole wheat flour
1 c. packed brown sugar
3/4 c. flour
1/3 c. toasted wheat germ
1 Tbsp. baking powder
1 Tbsp. pie spice
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1 1/2 to 2 c. chopped apples
1 1/4 c. skim milk
1/3 c. oil
3 egg whites or 2 whole eggs, lightly beaten
Preparation

Mix dry ingredients.
Add chopped apples and stir to coat with flour mixture.
In a small bowl, beat together milk, oil and eggs. Add to dry ingredients and stir only until moistened.
