Scripture Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1/2 c. butter (Judges 5:25)
3 eggs (Isaiah 10:14)
1 Tbsp. honey (Exodus 16:36)
1 Tbsp. baking powder (1 Corinthians 5:16)
1/2 c. almonds (Genesis 43:11)
1/4 tsp. cloves (1 Kings 10:10)
1/4 tsp. allspice (1 Kings 10:10)
1/4 tsp. nutmeg (1 Kings 10:10)
1 tsp. vanilla (2 Chronicles 9:9)
1/2 c. sugar (Jeremiah 6:20)
2 c. flour (1 Kings 4:22)
1/2 c. milk (Judges 26:19)
1/2 c. figs (Nahum 3:12)
1/2 c. raisins (1 Samuel 30:12)
Preparation

Cream the butter and sugar; beat until light.
Add egg yolks, one at a time.
Add honey, milk, flour, spices and baking powder. Beat until well mixed.
Add figs, raisins and nuts.
Fold in stiffly beaten egg whites.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 1 hour or until done. Do not overbake.
