Ingredients

1 c. sugar
3/4 c. margarine, softened
1/4 c. molasses
1 egg
2 1/4 c. flour
2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. cloves
1/2 tsp. ginger
1/4 tsp. nutmeg

Preparation

In a large bowl, cream the sugar, margarine, molasses and egg until light and fluffy.
Lightly spoon flour into measuring cup and level off.
Stir in flour, baking soda, salt, cinnamon, cloves, ginger and nutmeg.
Mix well.
Chill 1 hour.
