Mushroom Smothered Steak - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 round steak
    2 Tbsp. butter
    2 medium onions
    1 can sliced mushrooms
    salt and pepper (if desired)
    1 beer, 1/2 c. red wine or cooking sherry
    2 cans cream of mushroom soup
    1 Tbsp. garlic powder
Preparation
    Cut steak into strips and marinate in beer for 2 hours.
    Cut onions into onion rings and saute in butter.
    Lay steak strips in casserole dish and pour onion rings on top steak strips.
    Mix remaining ingredients and pour over steak and onions.
    Bake for 1 hour and 10 minutes at 350\u00b0.
    Serve over rice.
