Martha Washington Candy - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 boxes powdered sugar
    2 tsp. vanilla
    2 1/2 sticks margarine
    canned cream
    paraffin
    6 oz. unsweetened chocolate
    nuts (optional)
    maraschino cherries (optional)
    coconut (optional)
Preparation
    Sift powdered sugar; add vanilla and margarine.
    Add enough canned cream until it's sticky to handle.
    Cream until it will roll into a very soft ball.
    Shape into little round balls.
    A cherry or a nut may be put in center.
    Coconut is good mixed with the mixture.
    The filling can be made into different flavors and colors.
    Dip until covered into chocolate mixture made with 4 tablespoons paraffin and chocolate.
    Drop on waxed paper until cooled.
    Store in airtight container.
