Red Devil'S Food Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1/2 c. shortening
1 1/4 c. granulated sugar
2 eggs, unbeaten
1 c. boiling water
1/2 c. Hershey's cocoa
1 3/4 c. cake flour or 1 1/2 c. all-purpose flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation

Cream shortening and sugar.
Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition.
Then add ingredients as called for. After adding them all without stirring, beat vigorously until smooth.
Turn into 2 greased and floured 8-inch layer pans. Bake in moderate oven (350\u00b0) for 30 to 35 minutes or until done.
