Grandma Ava'S Caramel Meringue Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    3 Tbsp. flour
    3 eggs, separated
    2 c. milk
    1 tsp. vanilla
    2/3 stick oleo
    1 baked pie crust
Preparation
    Caramelize 2/3 cup sugar by melting sugar over low heat without stirring, taking caution not to burn.
    Set this aside. Sift
    together 1/3 cup of sugar and flour.\tStir in egg yolks. Heat
    milk.
    Mix
    a small amount of warm milk with sugar-flour mixture.
    When
    milk
    is
    hot, stir remainder into sugar-flour mixture,
    adding
    caramelized
    sugar.
    Stir
    until thick.
    Add vanilla
    and
    oleo,
    stirring
    until well blended.\tPut in pie crust and top with meringue.
