Fruit Burst Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. butter, softened
    1/2 c. sugar
    1 tsp. almond extract
    2 c. all-purpose flour
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 c. finely chopped nuts
    Smucker's Simply Fruit (any flavor)
Preparation
    Preheat oven to 400\u00b0. Cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
    Blend in extract. Combine flour and salt. Add to butter mixture and blend well.
    Shape tablespoon of dough into balls. Roll in nuts.
    Place 2-inches apart on ungreased cookie sheet. Flatten slightly.
    Indent centers.
    Fill with fruit spread. Bake 10 to 12 minutes or until light brown.
    Cool on wire racks. Makes 2 1/2 dozen.
