Lindbergh Relish - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    8 Carrots
    8 Peppers (red or green)
    2 Heads cabbage
    6 onions
    1/2 c. salt
    6 c. white sugar
    2 c. vinegar
    2 Tbsp. celery seed
    2 Tbsp. white mustard seed
    1/2 c. ground horseradish
Preparation
    Grind the vegetables together; put in pan.
    Add salt and cover with water; let stand 3 hours. Drain well. Add remaining ingredients. If vinegar doesn't cover, add more vinegar and sugar. Put in jars and can it.
