Caramel Clusters - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1/4 c. margarine or butter
1 c. sugar
4 c. Kix cereal
ungreased cookie sheet
Preparation

Heat margarine or butter in a heavy 3-quart saucepan over medium-high heat until melted.
Stir in sugar, stirring continually, for 4 to 5 minutes while mixture melts and begins to turn golden.
Continue cooking 1 to 2 minutes until mixture is no longer granular and is lightly golden (mixture may be separated, that's okay).
Do not overcook! Remove from heat, quickly adding cereal.
Mix until cereal is coated completely.
Immediately spread on ungreased cookie sheet.
Cool completely and break into small pieces.
Store in airtight container.
Makes about 6 cups of candy.
