Nut Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

6 eggs, separated
2 c. sugar
4 c. flour
1 box raisins
1/2 c. molasses
2 qt. pecans
1 c. butter or oleo
2 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. nutmeg
1/2 tsp. cloves
1/2 tsp. allspice
1 tsp. soda
1/2 to 1 c. whiskey
Preparation

Cream butter and sugar; add eggs, molasses and whiskey.
Sift dry ingredients.
Reserve 1 cup to dredge fruit in.
Add to egg mixture and fold in egg white.
Pour in greased and floured pan (tube or loaf).
Makes 2 large cakes.
Bake in slow oven at 275\u00b0 about 3 to 4 hours or until done.
