Persimmon Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. shortening
    1 c. sugar
    2 c. flour
    1/2 tsp. cinnamon
    1/2 tsp. nutmeg
    1 egg
    1 tsp. soda
    1/2 tsp. cloves
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 c. persimmon pulp
    1/2 c. nuts, optional
    1 c. raisins, optional
    glazed fruit, if desired
Preparation
    Cream shortening and add sugar, flour, spices, soda and egg. Mix well and add pulp and nuts or raisins.\tBake at 300\u00b0 for 20 minutes on a greased cookie sheet.
