Martha'S Vegetarian Chili - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 or 4 cloves garlic (or more)
    1 large onion
    2 cans tomatoes
    1 can tomato paste
    2 or 3 cans red kidney beans
    2 or 3 carrots, shredded (squeeze out moisture)
    2 or 3 zucchini squash, shredded (squeeze out moisture)
    cumin to taste (at least 1 tsp.)
    cayenne pepper to taste
    salt
    1 green pepper (optional)
    1 c. water
Preparation
    In a large pot, put in cumin, cayenne pepper and salt and heat for a couple of minutes (do not burn!).
    Add tomatoes, tomato paste, beans and water and simmer.
