Aunt Dot'S Hungarian Goulash - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 Tbsp. butter or margarine
    1/4 c. paprika
    1 1/2 tsp. salt
    8 oz. sour cream
    4 c. buttered egg noodles
    6 medium onions (about 2 lb.), thinly sliced
    2 lb. stew beef
Preparation
    Cook onions in butter until lightly browned.
    Add other ingredients and simmer 1 1/2 to 2 hours.
    Stir in sour cream before serving.
    Cook noodles per directions.
    Ladle mixture over noodles.
