Sour Sweet Pickles - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    cucumbers
    canning salt
    4 c. water
    1 c. sugar
    1 c. vinegar
    dill
    garlic
    pepper pod
Preparation
    Wash
    and
    salt cucumbers, use enough salt and water to float an
    egg.
    Soak
    overnight.
    Next
    morning,
    drain.
    Mix water, sugar and vinegar; bring to a boil.
    Drop cucumbers in hot
    brine. When
    they
    change color, take them out and drain brine.
    Pack cucumbers in jars.
    Let brine come to a boil and pour
    over packed cucumbers.
    Add dill, garlic and pepper pod and seal.
