Squaw Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. flour
    1 Tbsp. baking powder
    1 tsp. salt
    dash of sugar
    milk
Preparation
    Sift the flour, baking powder, sugar and salt.
    Add enough milk to make a stiff dough.
    Place onto floured board.
    Flour hands and pinch off dough, rolling into sticks about twice as thick as the size of a pencil.
    Drop into deep bacon fat and fry until brown.
    May also roll out and cut into strips or squares and fry in hot fat.
    Delicious with beans.
