Cocoa Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/4 c. cocoa
    1/4 c. sugar
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 c. milk
    3 Tbsp. shortening
    1 pkg. yeast
    1/2 c. warm water
    3 to 3 1/2 c. all-purpose flour
Preparation
    Mix the cocoa, sugar and salt.
    Add the milk, which has been scalded, and the shortening.
    Let stand until lukewarm and then add the yeast, which has been softened in the warm water.
    Add enough flour to make a dough which can be handled; knead until smooth and elastic.
    Let rise until doubled in bulk.
    Bake in a moderate oven.
    Half a cup of chopped nuts may be added to the dough, if desired.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 1 hour.
    Makes 1 loaf.
