Mexican Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. hamburger, browned and drained
    1 onion, diced
    4 tomatoes, cut into pieces
    1 large avocado (save 4 slices for the top)
    1 large pkg. tortilla chips (crush 1/2 for salad and 1/2 for top)
    4 oz. Cheddar cheese, grated
    hot sauce (season to liking)
    15 oz. can kidney beans, drained
    1 head lettuce, broken up
    8 oz. French dressing
Preparation
    Brown hamburger and add beans.
    Simmer for 10 minutes.
    Cool and then add to rest of ingredients.
