Mooncakes - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 1/2 c. margarine or shortening
1 c. sugar
2 c. flour, sifted
1 egg
1/2 tsp. vanilla flavoring
whole almonds (to put in center of each mooncake)
Preparation

Beat sugar and margarine until it is very smooth.
Add the egg and beat just a little.
Add flour and flavoring.
Knead or pull and mash the dough with your hands until it is smooth.
