Sunday Casserole - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 thick steak
    2 medium onions, chopped
    1 carrot, sliced
    1 can tomatoes or 2 c. fresh tomatoes, (optional)
    3 or 4 sliced potatoes (optional)
    2 cans mushroom soup
    1 soup can water
    salt and pepper to taste
Preparation
    Vegetables may be
    sliced
    and
    chopped a day ahead and placed in plastic bag and refrigerated.
    Cut steak in serving size pieces;
    season
    with
    salt
    and pepper.
    Place in large casserole dish,
    sprayed
    with
    Pam.
    Add vegetables and pour soup
    and water over all.
    Cover tightly with foil and bake in very slow oven, 2 1/2 to 3 hours while you go to church.
