Lasagna - cooking recipe

1 lb. ground beef
3/4 c. onion, chopped
1 (28 oz.) can crushed tomatoes
2 (6 oz.) cans tomato paste
2 c. water
1 Tbsp. chopped parsley
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. sugar
1 tsp. garlic powder
1/2 tsp. oregano leaves
9 lasagna noodles
1 (12 oz.) pkg. Mozzarella cheese
1 c. grated Parmesan cheese
1 lb. Ricotta cheese
1 egg
Preparation

Mix ricotta cheese with egg and 1/2 tsp. salt.
In large heavy pan, lightly brown beef and onion.
Add tomatoes, paste, water, parsley, salt, sugar, garlic powder, pepper and oregano. Simmer uncovered, stirring occasionally about 30 minutes.
Cook lasagna as directed, drain.
In a 9 x 13 inch baking pan, spread about 1 cup sauce.
Then alternate layers of lasagna, sauce, ricotta, mozzarella, and parmesan cheese, ending with sauce, mozzarella, and parmesan.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 40 to 50 minutes. Allow to stand 15 minutes, cut into squares.
