Sausage And Green Chili Strata - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 lb. bulk or link sausage
5 slices white bread, crust removed
soft butter or margarine
3/4 lb. (3 c.) shredded sharp Cheddar cheese
4 eggs, slightly beaten
2 c. milk
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. dry mustard
1 small can chopped green chiles
Preparation

Brown sausage and drain.
Lightly butter one side of bread and cut into cubes.
Place half the bread into a buttered 8-inch baking dish; sprinkle with half the cheese and cover with the sausage and rest of cheese and bread.
Combine eggs, milk and seasonings and pour over the casserole.
Cover and refrigerate several hours or overnight.
