Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 3/4 c. boiling water
1 c. uncooked oats (quick or old fashioned)
1 c. lightly packed brown sugar
1 c. granulated sugar
1 stick (1/2 c.) margarine
2 extra large eggs
1 3/4 c. unsifted flour
1 tsp. soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1 Tbsp. cocoa
1 pkg. semi-sweet chocolate pieces
3/4 c. chopped walnuts
Preparation

Pour boiling water over oatmeal.
Let stand at room temperature 10 minutes.
Add brown and white sugars and margarine. Stir until margarine melts.
Add eggs and mix well.
Sift together flour, soda, salt and cocoa.
Add flour to sugar mixture; mix well.
Add about half of the package of chocolate chips.
